In line with my new career as a starving artist / writer, I’ve decided to take up the NaNoWriMo challenge this year. I’m hoping this will push me past the fear of writing rubbish and get me in to a daily writing habit which I can exploit for the remainder of my sabbatical.
I actually have a story outline that I’ve been playing with since February, but on advice from the professionals (by which I mean that I’m reading Chris Baty’s No Plot? No Problem), I’m going to let the plot bunnies loose and see what happens rather than risk getting bogged down in something that I’m likely to be precious about.
The upshot of this is that I probably won’t blog again until the end of November (likely to be a one-word post: “Winner” or “Failure”), so if you do find me here, or on twitter, or on Pinterest, just send me back to my desk, ok?
